First crit: The Aftermath

We all survived! I found it enjoyable to see various pieces being executed differently by people who have different backgrounds. I would be interested to know if there is a possibility to work in teams for future projects.

I wanted to add to my presentation some notions I forgot to mention. The name of the project is: "5037, Saint-Dominique - 11/04/2010". It is the address and date of the event and this project would be the translated experience of that concert.

If I had the opportunity to pursue this project into a complete installation, I would adapt the interactivity depending on how it would be presented i.e. installation, performance or even just a display piece. The main importance is to have a framework established and then leave an opening to explore the options I can play with.

Documentations will follow soon.

BrainStorm: Apparatus;Image

I have in mind to create an apparatus that will help me create a series of images that will create different effects depending of the environment that is chosen. It would be really be fun to show the series of prints in class during the critiques and also show the tool that was used to create these series. The prints and the functional artifact will tie in both worlds. The print series are an end result of a digital production and the object is strictly close to the analog.

Here are some work that will largely influence the work I will be doing for the project with the binary situation of the "analog" and the "digital".

1st post: personal description

I am in my 4th year @ Concordia in Computation Arts and this is my last year composed solely of electives. I joined this class in order to review my Photoshop skills and experiment with print as a tangible medium. I would find it really interesting if the 2D print may adapt itself into a 3rd dimension and generate complex sets of relationships with the viewer.

Interactivity, architecture and motion would be themes I wish to explore. These elements are largely influenced by the on-going project of a light suit that me and some fellow students are currently working on since the 2010's winter semester. Here is some documentation of the work that we have in progress:
